JOURNAL #2 – A PICTURE IS WORTH A THOUSAND WORDS

The Game Bag Moodboard

Designing our British Game Bag has been an exciting exercise. We’ve used a mood board to inspire and construct the product. The idea was a bag for taking to day shoots to put the game in to take home at the end of the day. First thing we did was buy some canvas, cut out a design and sew a sample that completely didn’t work. So, with that lesson learnt we took a step back and tried a different approach. That’s where the mood board then helped us by focusing on what was important rather than wandering aimlessly around too many ideas. It also stopped us from getting ahead of ourselves to make sure the core product would work. We are going to re-use this method for the a lot more of our product design. Watch this space as remember the saying a picture is worth a thousand words.
