"Driving Home for Christmas" is that popular Christmas song by Chris Rea that hopefully fills you with the joy of being with your loved ones and not the worry of a long drive and being stuck in traffic jams.

Recently I’ve spent time enjoying being back in New Zealand. After 3 years I was able to get down to New Zealand to see family and friends now that they’ve opened their border (does anyone else refer to going up or down to a place depending on which way up you’re holding the map?), plus do a bit of exploring.

The outdoor lifestyle and summer go together like strawberries and cream. Living with the seasons means making the most of what makes this season unique.

Outdoor adventures and Land Rover Defenders go together perfectly. We have wanted a Defender for a long time but kept letting our head win over our hearts but have now taken the plunge and bought a 2004 Defender 90 TD5. It’s a classic British four-wheel drive and we have fallen in love with it.
